Dyson Daniels is earning glory through his excellent games. Game full of thriller moments, he achieved a career-best that helped the Atlanta Hawks defeat the Boston Celtics, champions of the previous season in an unbelievable match. One another feather in the cap of the growing legend about him.
Daniels is now one of the league’s best defenders. Against Philadelphia, on Wednesday, he played well on both offense and defense, filling in for missing All-Star guard Trae Young.
The Celtics played with Atlanta, but good offense and great defense were enough to win their first game for the NBA Cup.
Dyson Daniels of the Atlanta Hawks scored a career-high in points during their win over the Boston Celtics.
Dyson Daniels scored a career-high 28 points, to go with seven assists and six steals.
Trae Young was sitting out the whole contest with Achilles tendonitis. However, Daniels took this opportunity to have a big scoring role, and he could do quite all right, shooting 12 out of 21 and playing 41 minutes that made them win the match.
Daniel added six steals in his latest game as he upped his streak to remarkable levels. His defense hurt Boston Jayson Tatum hard as he struggled a lot to make shots, shooting only 5-of-16 from the field in the game.
“We knew it was going to be tough playing against champions, so we gave them our best shot,” Daniels said after the game.
“We worked hard till the end. They dominated us in the first half, being about 15 points ahead, but we never lost hope, and we just proceeded to pursue this game forward. I’d like to thank the team.”
Perhaps, when we were new here, people had some suspicious thoughts about us, but that was something I believed in myself. We concentrated on our work and did just that.
With their recent victory, Daniels and his Hawks now have a winning record of 5-7, and the team is in a tie for seventh in the Eastern Conference rankings.
