1) First Quarter: Jamal Murray & Aaron Gordon
Within 16 seconds, Jamal Murray shot a three-pointer that helped jumpstart things for the Nuggets. After some initial foul issues, the team began to feel more comfortable. Aaron Gordon had an easy layup in reverse for 5-0; however, the Clippers didn’t take much time to regain momentum. The Nuggets continued well for some time and showed excellent offense.
2) Second Quarter: Iviac Zubac & Jamal Murray
In the second quarter, Ivica Zubac dominated the court for the Clippers, scoring on rebounds and setting screens to assist in maintaining a lead. Jamal Murray led a three-point attack, hitting three in succession to start, and got the Nuggets close to the Clippers, narrowing the deficit and making this game much more competitive.
3) Third Quarter
- The Nuggets Take Control:- The Nuggets played much better in the third quarter. Jamal Murray was great at setting up teammates, and Nikola Jokić’s diversified talents were on full display. This combination lifted Denver’s offense and gave them the lead for the first time after a series of successful plays.
- The Clippers Fight Back:- The Clippers had some issues but remained composed. James Harden proved that he was the playmaker because he made some plays and set up Zubac for that easy dunk. That is a great example that the Clippers can look at, and they may even do well in such pressure situations.
4) Fourth Quarter
The last quarter was highly intense on both sides of the teams. The Nuggets derived energy from a home crowd that was totally hyped up. Big plays by Gordon and Porter made sure that the Nuggets held their lead.
