The Detroit Pistons looked to win the season series against the LA Lakers on Monday night. Having won 115-103 in their first game of the season series on November 4, Detroit headed to Crypto.com Arena to face LeBron James and the Lakers.
Cade Cunningham scored eight points and dished four assists for the visiting team during the first quarter. For the game, Malik Beasley scored nine points in coming off the bench, while non-starter Simone Fontecchio also aided with six points.
The Lakers started pretty strong with a balanced attack on offense. LeBron James led the team, making seven points, four assists, and three rebounds during the first quarter. Anthony Davis also chipped in, scoring four points and dishing out three assists and three rebounds. It was not enough to send the game into the end of the first quarter leading 34-32 over Los Angeles.
The game between the Pistons and the Lakers was interesting in the second quarter. Detroit’s bench played strongly, with Beasley outstanding by scoring 14 points by halftime. He drove past Anthony Davis, making an impressive drive, helping the Pistons close the gap, bringing the score to 64-62.
