LeBron James is labeled as questionable for the Los Angeles Lakers‘ game against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday due to left foot pain, while Austin Reaves will miss his fourth consecutive game due to a left pelvic contusion, as per the report published in ESPN.
He broke out of his shooting slump Wednesday against the Miami Heat, hitting 12-for-18 from the field, but the Lakers were still outscored 134-93. James has appeared in all 22 games for Los Angeles in his 22nd season, averaging 22.3 points, 9.0 assists, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.1 turnovers.
Los Angeles is 1-2 on its current four-game road trip, which ends in Atlanta, having been outscored by 70 points in losses to Miami and the Minnesota Timberwolves—the worst point differential during any two-game period in the history of the team.
James stated that he desired to play in all 82 games this season, which Lakers coach JJ Redick suggested the team may reassess after the loss to the Wolves.
“I don’t know that’s in the best interest of him and us if he does that, but if he’s feeling well and feeling good, then he should play,” Lakers coach Redick said on LeBron’s availability against the Atlanta Hawks.
Currently, the Hawks are sitting in the sixth position in the Eastern Conference, while the Lakers, who are struggling with their form this season, are in ninth place in the Western Conference.
