According to the CBA, an increase in prize money by taking a base amount from the first year of the NBA Cup and multiplying it by an increase in “Basketball Related Income” or BRI.
The prize money of the NBA Cup has increased nearly by 3% during this season. This upward trend is expected to follow with the league’s growing revenues in the coming years.
Note: Players who signed two-way or 10-day deals under the Collective Bargaining Agreement would have been involved in half of a knockout round game if they appeared on the Active or Inactive List. Therefore, if that player with a two-way contract is among the players that comprise the winning team in the 2024 NBA Cup, he will qualify to receive $257,485.50 instead of $514,971. |
