Cleveland welcomed Boston on Tuesday with a clean slate at 15-0 and the best offense in the league this year, but they didn’t keep pace with Boston’s drizzling hot 3-point shooting. The Celtics hit 53.7% of their 3-pointers, making 22 of 41 shots. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers had only 10 of 29 3-pointers good for 34.9%.

Jayson Tatum had 33 points,12 rebounds and seven assists. All five Celtic starters scored in double figures and Payton Pritchard added 13 off the bench.

Al Horford’s clutch performance lifts the Celtics to end the Cavs’ remarkable win streak.

BOSTON — Al Horford played well Tuesday night in helping the Boston Celtics deliver the Cleveland Cavaliers’ first loss in the season.

The 38-year-old star played well for the Celtics, getting 20 points with excellent shooting: 7-of-11 overall, 4-of-5 from three-point range. Horford grabbed seven rebounds and blocked three shots in Boston’s thrilling 120-117 win against the Cavaliers. The team is happy with this win since it ended Cleveland’s 15-game winning streak at the start of the season.

Horford scored his best late in the game when he set a record by becoming the oldest player in the league to score at least 20 points, hit four 3-pointers, and block three shots in one game. As reported by Taylor Snow of Celtics.com, this is evidence of lasting skills and influence on the court.

Al Horford was playing well, but his 18 points in the real thriller of an overtime win against the Toronto Raptors set a season-high for the second game in a row. He showed his shooting skills in a close game hitting 5 out of 10 three-pointers. In the last two games, he has made 9 out of 15 shots from three-point range, showing he is a strong player on the court!
